Colette Gibbons

Colette Gibbons was born in Uganda and educated in England where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Southampton. Colette is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales having qualified with Coopers and Lybrand in 1995. Colette has since worked in senior finance roles for several international companies in Uganda and Australia including Heritage Oil and Gas, Aon and Cape Energy. She is now a resident in Australia and is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Dr. Mike Middleton

Dr. Middleton completed a Doctorate in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Sydney in 1979. Dr. Middleton has worked with ECL (Australia), CSIRO, Geological Survey of Western Australia and Merlin Energy. Dr. Middleton was Nordic Professor of Petrophysics at Chalmers University in Sweden from 1993 to 1998, and Professor of Petroleum Geology at Curtin University in Australia from 1999 to 2002. During the past 15 years, Dr. Middleton has consulted to Western Mining (Petroleum), Global Petroleum, AMPOLEX, PHILLIPS Petroleum, Central Petroleum and The West Australian Government. Dr. Middleton was a foundation Director of Merlin Energy, from which he resigned in 2004. Dr. Middleton's fields of expertise are in seismic interpretation, formation evaluation and basin modelling and has published or presented over 200 technical papers or reports on petroleum exploration, development and technology. Dr. Middleton has domestic Australian and international experience throughout the Asia-Pacific and North Sea sectors and has been involved in mapping several major discoveries in Western Australia.
